One Click is honoured that we are obtaining two government funding in 2023: the “Commission on Children Funding Scheme for Children’s Well-being and Development” from the Commission on Children and “Phase 2 of the Mental Health Initiatives Funding Scheme” from The Advisory Committee on Mental Health (“ACMH”). To help children and youth who are inevitably affected by the 2019-onwards coronavirus epidemic, we proposed two projects for children with study in mainstream school students and special education need school students. Following are the details of the two projects.

Project Theme:

 

Promoting health and a happy childhood

(a) To promote the importance of play in the healthy development of children;

(b) To enhance public awareness of the emotional and social development of children;

(c) To promote the benefits of sports in achieving a healthier life for children; or

(d) To promote the importance of happy and harmonious cross-generational family life in the healthy development of children.

 

Activity 1: Positive Living Carnival

 

Period: 3/2023- 8/2024

Time: about 2 hours

Venue: The school’s covered playground, outdoor playground or school hall

Content: We will borrow school venues to hold booths for theatre performances or assemble game areas, and cooperation. Organizations will rotate to each school in different combinations.

Fee: free of charge

Gift: Participating students will receive a small gift

 

Objective(s):

– To provide an opportunity for children to release their stress through games and interaction

with AAI dogs

– To promote the importance of play in the healthy development of children

– To promote the benefits of art, artificial intelligence (AI) & robotics and sports in achieving a healthier life for children

Hong Kong Guide Dogs Association

Hong Kong Guide Dogs Association (HKGDA) is a local organization with rich experience in

Animal-assisted services. It includes animal assistance activities (AAA), animal assistance

education (AAE) and animal therapy (AAT). Handlers with AAI dogs will interact with students and promote information on mental health during the activity.

The Kids on the Block

THE KIDS ON THE BLOCK (KOB) is an essential social-educational resource. KOB uses the

same entertainment-driven shows to highlight lessons in social interaction and recognition

and foster understanding, tolerance and acceptance. KOB will hold a drama and interact

with students.

Playright

Playright is a local organization with rich experience in the game. Playright would like to build a society that respects, protects and fulfils a Child’s Right to Play, where children can enjoy their childhood. Also, Playright strives to advocate the value of play and seek societal

commitment to meet every child’s play needs at the policy, planning and provision levels.

Playright will hold a play station to promote the importance of social inclusion.

Union will invite students to experience cutting-edge technologies nearby. They will play with AI robotic arms, robots and intelligent living devices to diversify their interests and broaden their horizons. They will be introduced to the concept of the technology and how it functions.

“Healthy Seed” was established in 2014 with the founding sponsorship of the Lo Ying Shek Chi Wai Foundation. It is a charity organization dedicated to expanding the cultivation and development of young children. It educates the public on correct child-rearing knowledge, drives the society to pay attention to the mental health of families, and guides children’s development. To positive psychology and value, thus creating an ideal social environment.

 

Activity 2: Care-collecting Talk

 

Period: 3/2023- 8/2024

Time: Around 1.5 hours

Venue: The school hall

Fee: free of charge

Content: 1 session for 1.5 hours, One Click team will invite different speakers each time, including doctors, dietitians, and social workers, to provide professional knowledge and advice.

 

Activity Objective:

– To provide knowledge of public issues related to COVID-19, taking care of children Etc.

– To promote the importance of happy and harmonious cross-generational family life in the

healthy development of children.
