HKU OneClick, in collaboration with the Hong Kong Guide Dogs Association, provides animal-assisted education and therapy for students.

We visited ELCHK Kwai Chung District Support Centre on August 8, 10, 15, 17, 22, 24, 29 and 31 to conduct animal-assisted education sessions. The therapy dogs strolled around the campus, getting to know the students and teachers, thus integrating into the school environment. Finally, accompanied by trainers, they entered the classrooms to interact with students with special educational needs. Throughout the process, students can enhance their communication skills, deepen their understanding of social and emotional aspects, and improve their concentration through interaction with the therapy dogs.

We aim to assist children and adolescents affected by the COVID-19 pandemic in 2019, whether they attend mainstream schools or schools for special educational needs.
