HKU OneClick and Hong Kong Guide Dogs Association provide Animal Assisted Education and Animal Assisted Activity for students

HKU OneClick has received funding from the Advisory Committee on Mental Health of the Hong Kong Government. In collaboration with the Hong Kong Guide Dogs Association, we provide AA-Education and AA-Activity for students.

On 4th May 2023, we conducted the first assessment of AA-Education. During the assessment process, students with special educational needs can interact with AAI therapy dogs to enhance their communication skills, deepen their understanding of social and emotional issues, and improve their concentration.

Our aim is to assist children and adolescents affected by the COVID-19 pandemic in 2019, regardless of whether they attend mainstream or special educational needs schools.
