The Mental Health Association of Hong Kong

The Mental Health Association of Hong Kong was first founded in 1954 as a study group with the primary objective of educating the public on mental health. It became a member agency of the Hong Kong Council of Social Service in 1968 and the Community Chest of Hong Kong in 1969. Incorporation under the Companies Ordinance took place in July 1970. The Association at present has a membership of about 200, consisting mostly of professional workers from many human service disciplines such as psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, nurses, lecturers, professors and social workers.
