Heep Hong Society

Established in 1963, Heep Hong Society is Hong Kong’s leading service provider of early intervention and education for children with different abilities. Our service targets includes children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder(ADHD), Dyslexia, specific learning difficulties, global developmental delay, mental handicap and physical handicap and other special needs, with a mission to help children of different abilities reach their full potential in a happy and healthy environment, thereby contributing to a more inclusive society.

Through a territory-wide network of more than 30 service units, a full range of professional training and supportive services are provided for more than 6,000 families each year. Our strong team of 400 dedicated professional staff comprised of clinical psychologists, educational psychologists, speech therapists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, special child care workers, social workers and other allied health assistants strive to provide multi disciplinary professional training, therapy and family support to children with special needs.

Heep Hong launched the Supportive Learning Project in 2000 to provide timely professional therapy and training services for children with special needs on a self-financed and non-profit making basis. In parental support, Heep Hong established 5 Parents Resources Centres to help parents ease stress and solve problems when taking care of their children with special needs. Moreover, Heep Hong organizes regular seminars and workshops for professionals and parents to enhance their knowledge in special education in Hong Kong as well as in the Mainland, Macau and Taiwan, in the hopes to strengthen special education and rehabilitation services in the Greater China region.
